The WiiM Amp and WiiM Ultra feature subwoofer outputs, allowing you to connect both your main speakers and subwoofer. To optimize your audio experience, it's crucial to ensure that your subwoofer is perfectly synchronized with your main speakers. Follow these steps to adjust the subwoofer output latency for optimal synchronization:

Understanding Subwoofer Delay

If your subwoofer performs digital signal processing (DSP), it most likely imposes a delay. Unfortunately, this delay cannot be reduced. To compensate, you can add a delay to the main speakers using the WiiM Home app. Negative numbers for subwoofer delay will actually add a delay to the main speakers' output.

If your subwoofer does not impose a noticeable delay and is placed further away from your main listening position than your main speakers, you will need to use a positive number in the delay settings for the subwoofer.

Steps to Adjust Sub Output Latency

1. Download the WiiM Home App:

   - Ensure you have the latest version of the WiiM Home app. Download it from the App Store or Google Play Store, then open the app.

2. Access Subwoofer Settings:

   - In the WiiM Home app, navigate to the device settings by selecting the gear icon.

3. Adjust Output Latency:

   - Find the subwoofer settings and adjust the output latency.

   - If your subwoofer has a delay due to DSP, use negative numbers to add delay to the main speakers.

   - If your subwoofer is further from your main listening position than your main speakers, use positive numbers to add delay to the subwoofer.

By following these steps, you can achieve optimal synchronization between your subwoofer and main speakers, enhancing your overall audio experience.
