| Will the Ultra support multichannel music output on the HDMI port? If not, thats a big miss for a premium product | Yes, it supports Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. |
| Are there any changes to the ADC compared to the WIIM Pro Plus? | The ADC chip is better in the WiiM Ultra using TI PCM1863. |
| Can the HDMI port be used for audio output and will it support Dolby Atmos Music? | No, it's HDMI Arc. |
| Will DSD (using DoP) be supported on any digital inputs or in any streaming modes? | Currently, our system does not support native DSD playback. We are developing a feature to convert DSD files to PCM format for playback. |

| Is it possible to control digital coaxial output volume with HDMI arc? | Certainly, it supports volume control via HDMI ARC for coaxial output. |
| Are there any improvements to the streamer circuit that would improve sound quality? I.e. if we are using this purely as a streamer connected to a high-end external DAC (so not using volume control, room correction sub out etc), are there any improvements in streaming section to deliver higher quality sound vs Pro Plus? | The digital output is transparent, comparable to the Pro Plus but with improved jitter performance. |
| Will it be possible to route multichannel HDMI input to multichannel USB output (e.g., 5.1 channel) | Our system currently supports only two-channel audio for both HDMI input and USB output. However, our team is exploring options to enable multichannel support for routing HDMI input to USB output. |

| Will the Bluetooth output support aptX and/or LDAC codecs? | It does not support aptX or LDAC codecs. However, it does support the BT LE Audio codec LC3, in addition to SBC and AAC codecs. |

| Will Room Correction be available for Android users thru the use of an external calibrated mic? | Yes, it supports Android devices with an external MIC via a USB interface. |
| Will it be possible to deactivate the volume control on the knob/wheel of the Ultra, and what will the options be, if so? Same as Pro plus - skip between tracks? | Yes, it's possible. |
| Will there be a "Loudness" option for low level listening? | Yes, there's one preset "Loudness" EQ option. |
| Is the software fully done in house or does it use android software like other streamers? | No, it's Linux based system, done in house - WiiM OS. |
| Will autoeq be supported for headphones eq? | Certainly, it supports the EQ for headphone output. You can also import the EQ parameters for your headphone. |
| Does EQ/RC/Sub management apply to both analogue AND digital outputs at the same time? | The audio is output either through analog or digital channels, but not simultaneously. EQ, room correction, and subwoofer settings can be applied to either the analog or digital output. |

| Will the display mirror what is shown in WiiM Home App or is it independent? | It is an independent, customized version with limited functions, specifically designed for small screens. |

| Will it be possible to setup the display to permanently only show selected input and volume level (e.g. "HDMI" and "50" or "MUTE") and have the unit behave like a "classic" pre-amp? | It's possible. We will offer a selection of screen themes to choose from. |
| Will the display offer a spectrum analyzer or VU meters? | It'll be supported with a software update. |
| Will it be possible to turn the display off, or dim it, only have it appear briefly when for example changing volume, input/output or track via the remote control? | The Volumio Streamer allows manual entering and storing of their URLs for some specific Internet 'radio' streams. Does this functionality exists in the new Ultra? | It's been supported in the WiiM Home App. You can enter your own URL and store it. |
| Will be possible to play MQA format natively? | Yes, it can play MQA format natively. |
| Will the WiiM Ultra support the playback of Qobuz service? | Yes |
| Will we see Plex support? | It's on our to-do list. |
From which streaming platforms will Ultra display album art/track information? Is Squeezelite already included in that? | The album art and track information displayed on the Ultra can be sourced from various internet streaming platforms, as well as third-party services. Yes, Squeezelite is included among the services that the Ultra supports for displaying album art and track information. |
| Will apple music run natively on the device to allow for lossless playback, or only via airplay? | Currently, Apple Music is not integrated natively into the WiiM system. Therefore, you can only stream Apple Music via Bluetooth, or Chromecast on this device. |
| Any chance to support SiriusXM natively? | You can use Bluet or Chromecast to stream SiriusXM. We plan to support SiriusXM natively but there's no firm date for the availability. |
| Will the WiiM Ultra support the playback of Amazon music? | Yes, we'll update post #1. All the existing music services are included in the Ultra. |

| In what month will Wiim Ultra appear on Aliexpress? | We don't sell on Aliexpress. Please purchase it from authorized dealers or on our Amazon store. Beware of purchasing from unauthorized sellers. |

How Tos
| If I use line(phono) input from the turntable, can we record the song to a digital music file, i.e., as a flac, wav, etc. file format, on USB storage? | It's possible. |
| How can I use this Ultra as a Desktop Dac too, to connect a CD Transport that has only Coaxial OUT ? | Please use a Coaxial input to optical or RCA adapter. |
| Can this be used without a smart phone or computer? | No |
| How do you ground a vintage turntable to the ultra's ground line input? | A customized ground adapter is available that connects the turntable ground to the Ultra's ground line input. |
| Will the Ultra's sub latency control allow for delaying signals to the main speakers and the sub? Many subs have onboard DSP, which creates significant latency. In 2.1 systems, the sub is often positioned in line with the main speakers, and therefore, the sub is "behind" in the time domain. Delaying the mains output solves this issue and would be a great feature not offered by many competitors. | You can adjust the delays for both the main speaker and the subwoofer. |

Features we are evaluating
| If I understand correctly, the WiiM Ultra will be able to decode 5.1 dolby digital and will output this as 2.1? Would it be possible to support a binaural render for headphones? This would be quite a unique feature, as at this moment you can only do binaural audio on PC (e.g., Dolby Atmos for Headphones, Windows Sonic for Headphones, Sennheiser GSX, Creative SXFI....); with no products for this on the AVR-market. | We'll raise this request with our product team and get back. |
