Background
WiiM Home App needs certain permissions to perform as expected. This article describes each permission, and how it is used by WiiM Home App. We care about your privacy concerns and please let us know if there are any questions on this with email - support@wiimhome.com.
iOS Devices
The App on the iOS devices needs three permissions during its device setup and normal use. You are prompted by a dialogue box whenever the App requests a new permission, which you can either allow or deny. It is necessary for you to grant the App the following permissions to use the App and WiiM devices successfully.

| Local Network | Local network access is required for your WiiM Home app to set up or connect with your WiiM products on your network. | Always |
| Bluetooth | Bluetooth access is required for WiiM App to detect your nearby speakers and setup WiiM devices during the setup process. It is also required if you use Bluetooth on the WiiM devices and additional device troubleshooting when there's device discovery issue. | Device setup, BT, troubleshooting |
| Location Services | Location access is required to detect your nearby products during setup and your mobile device’s WiFi network information. If you leave this disabled, you will not be able to set up your WiiM products. | Device setup |
Android Devices
The App on the Android devices needs the following permissions during its device setup and normal use. You are prompted by a dialogue box whenever the App requests a new permission, which you can either allow or deny. It is necessary for you to grant the App the following permissions to use the App and WiiM devices successfully.
